An error occurred while saving the post.User cannot edit post

  Getting this error when I attempt to update any of my portfolio items: ‘An error occurred while saving the post.
  User cannot edit post’. This only happens when using the ‘blue editor’ (meaning the non-WP Admin editor) this doesn’t occur with blog posts, oddly. The reason I’m trying to use the non-WP Admin editor is so I can set a featured image for the portfolio items. This allows me to share links for my stories with the images attached. Any suggestions?

  Hi,

  The reason I’m trying to use the non-WP Admin editor is so I can set a featured image for the portfolio items.

  My Sites > Site > Portfolio takes you to the WP Admin project editor. There is no BBB (blue) portfolio project editor.

  Featured images on projects are evidently not an option on this theme.

  Not true: you can access the (blue) portfolio project editor by viewing the website and scrolling up on a portfolio item by accessing it as a user would (you have to be logged in for this to work). Furthermore, I have contacted WP and it seems that I have encountered a bug with this particular theme. The theme should have featured image compatibility, so I’ve been told.

  You’re right. With your help I finally figured out the way to access it. It’s absurd that you evidently have to view the project in order to reveal the link that allows you to visit the “blue” project editor. Any way that I’ve attempted leads to the admin project editor.

  I have contacted WP and it seems that I have encountered a bug with this particular theme. The theme should have featured image compatibility, so I’ve been told.
