An issue with Bitnami WordPress on my local machine

  I used to install and use Bitnami WordPress for my school project on my local machine. Now I have another school project that also uses Bitnami WordPress for web development. I have uninstalled the Bitnami WordPress and installed it again to remove the old website and get a fresh start. Then I lost my old website which I am very proud of, I wonder if I will have another school project in the future, will I have to uninstall and install the Bitnami WordPress again and keep losing the developed website? The inquiry raised up is that is there any way I can use Bitnami WordPress on my local machine without having to remove my developed website?

  I recommend you to install and use Bitnami WordPress on VMWare. VMWare Workstation allows you to create virtual machines that are just like your desktop. For example you want to use Bitnami WordPress to develop your side project, you can just go into virtual machine 1 and do whatever you’d like. Later, you can just simply create virtual machine 2 for another project without having to uninstall Bitnami WordPress on virtual machine 1.
