Will the annual $300 for the business plan be taken out today?… I’m trying to start up a web based business that is not yet lucrative, and I would like to start putting the website together… does anyone know how I can do this?

Hi there, all WordPressdotcom upgrade plans are paid for the full year at checkout.
You can also start out with the Premium or Personal plan if you want to purchase or map a custom domain and then upgrade to Business once you are able to do so. You can also start out with the Free plan if the custom domain is not immediately needed.

Ok. So if I do the free plan someone could get my custom domain name [redacted], but if I do the Personal or anything greater then that domain will be mine and no one can take it… Is that correct?

Also if I upgrade later from Personal to Business will I end up paying 350 or will it just charge the difference?

Hello again, If you want to start with free, and haven’t registered that custom domain with a domain registrar, anyone could register it. (And I’ve removed the domain name you mentioned above because this is a public forum. :) )
If you want to immediately register a custom domain, but can’t yet go for the Business plan, then start with the Personal plan and upgrade later. Whether you pay the difference in price between the two plans will depend on when during the year you upgrade.
As long as you continue to renew your plan, your custom domain name will be included in that renewal.
I forgot to mention earlier that every upgrade plan comes with a 30-day refund window, however, custom domains need to be cancelled within 48-hours of registration to be eligible for a refund. And never cancel a custom domain registration if you intend on using it anywhere.

I see that you’ve posted again in the meantime. Please take time to read through those two support guides to plans that I linked to earlier which explain in greater detail the features of each plan. Every upgrade plan has access to support via LiveChat (when available) and email. There is no phone support here on WordPressdotcom.
