anyone can help me make post show only summary?
-
I published some posts under one category, but each post shows the whole thing under same category. I already selected “summary” on Reading setting, but they still show the same way. Can anyone tell me how to do?
Actually I have anther blog, which has the same setting with this one, just different theme, but all posts under each category show very well–only their summary, and will show whole page only if I click them.
help!!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi. Here’s the answer as to why that setting does not achieve the desired effect, and what you can do about it:

On the Reading page you set the RSS feeds to “summary”.
With regard to posts we cannot just click a button and have beginnings of post display on the front page. You must edit the posts you have published and insert “the more tags” to split the content. Thereafter you will have to insert “the more tag” into each post before you publish it. See here please > http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/
Regarding Category pages also note this and note also that we cannot change the display for Category pages. It’s coded into the template which we cannot edit so if you do not wish to have gull posts display you will have to switch to another theme:
In the majority of themes, posts in category or monthly archive pages show up just as they do in the main posts page. But in some themes only the beginnings of posts are shown, and in a few themes you only get titles or thumbnails. http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/25/full-posts-in-archive-pages/
