App to create separate pages for each podcast?

    Hi,

    I’m needing to have a website where the podcasts are all separate pages (like how you can create separate pages with categories with blogs), but what I’m wondering is if there’s an app you can recommend that will create a new page and dynamically pull in podcasts as they are created, or an app that will make it easier to create all the pages for the previous podcasts that all need to be uploaded?

    Hi @cherryriverconsulting, each individual podcast will automatically have its own page, but it sounds like you’d also like them grouped into categories, is that correct?

    Will you have a single podcasting feed that you can give to various services, then have those items in subcategories on the site? I haven’t done it myself, but I’m guessing it will work. Let us know if this is is your intention and wel’l confirm.

    Hi @supernovia! Thank you for your response.

    We have the podcasts created, and what I’m trying to do is figure out the easiest way to have each podcast have its own page. It’s similar to how some blogs use categories to create separate pages for blog posts if I’m reading the forums correctly?

    So we have a ton of old podcasts, is there an easy way or an app that can be recommended to automatically assign them to categories to create those individual pages, or do I need to do it all manually?

    The podcast will need an RSS feed, and each category has it’s own RSS feed, just add /feed/ to the end of the category’s URL: https://wordpress.com/support/feeds/#your-feeds

    Pages don’t have RSS feeds, so those won’t work well for podcasts, but set aside each category as a different podcast, and you’ll have your RSS feed for podcast distribution.

    You can also add categories to your menus, so it will seem more like separate pages: https://wordpress.com/support/menus/

    We don’t have a way to import specifically around those parameters though, so you’ll have to build it out that way manually.
