    And not long afterward a new profile pic emerged with my username of a girl in a bikini. I changed my password hoping that would resolve the issue but the bikini profile remains with my username. What would be my best step to fix it? Thanks.

    If someone is able to make changes to your wordpress.com account, it means they know your login and password; it’s almost sure theey have full access to your email account.. You must thighten security of your email and your wordpress.com account to avoid those problems by choosing a strong password and activating 2FA, https://en.support.wordpress.com/security/two-step-authentication/
