  I have purchased a theme and want to install it

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  That’s great. If you didn’t purchase it from your WordPress.com dashboard, however, you cannot install it on your blog http://johnsandscreative.wordpress.com/.

  External themes can only be installed on WordPress.ORG blogs. Get your money back.

  I purchased it from https://www.elegantthemes.com im really confused. It’s saying I can choose it from > Themes > but I have a basic account. DO i need to have a premium account to see the download .zip file?

  The only themes we can use on free hosted WordPress.com blogs like your blog at http://johnsandscreative.wordpress.com/ are the themes found here http://wordpress.com/themes/

  There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs for security reasons and we cannot:

  upload any third party themes,
  create child themes,
  create our own themes,
  edit templates,
  create own own layouts,
  or use stylesheets from other themes.

  There is no upgrade you can purchase that changes that. WordPress.org offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can create themes, upload and install themes and plugins, run ads, and edit the database, etc. Learn about the differences here. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
