Are movie reviews allowed?

  I’m writing informal movie reviews about OLD movies. I’m not making any money. Is this allowed?

  Yes, but affiliate links to sell movies are iffy. Downloads of copyrighted material are definitely out. But reviews, sure!

  Ok. What about the photos of movie jackets available in the wordpress media search in the lower right hand corner?
  Altogether, I’m puzzled because I think my blog is still being flagged…though it seems like I’m not doing flaggable material…

  A media search is not an exemption from copyright. That said, movies routinely make a large number of images available to promote the movie itself. I doubt you’ll get a copyright takedown notice from a movie studio for reviewing one of their movies.
