When using a picture on a posting ( your own picture), is there a way to protect it so noone can copy it for themselves?

No, there is literally no way to do that on the internet. There are some tricks that people say do this, but they don’t work. Your best bet is to watermark your original images and upload them at 72dpi, no more.
