Assistance with Deleting a site

  I need help deleting a website that was created by a former colleague and has since been abandoned. I’m unable to figure out a way of recovering access to this account. But the website has old outdated information and unfortunately remains indexed my most search engines. This is causing some problems with currently enrolled students not reaching the correct Website and Information. Any assistance you could provide would be very helpful!
