Attaching / linking posts to a central "story" in a new blog?

I have a question about creating and setting up my new WordPress blog.

To premise my question: My blog will basically be a rambling story/review about a long running TV/Book/Audio series. I want to make posts about each “story”, but I won’t be watching/reading/listening to the series in order, so the posts will be random and out of order.

What I want to know is can I set up my new WordPress blog so that my posts can be attached/linked to a “story” rather than by date posted? So I would post a brief description of “Story BBB” and then write a post about it, and link and attach it to “Story BBB”; 3 days later I might post about “Story NNN”, and link/attach posts to it; later that week I may write another post about “Story BBB” and attach/link it to that story.

Is this possible, or beyond the capabilities of WordPress?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Posts are listed by date in reverse order published – newest at the top.

You can have a page that works like a table of contents.

You can assign Categories and Tags to sort based on the say Category – i.e. Story AAA could be a Category and each Post about Story AAA could be assigned to Story AAA Category.

    Hope this helps a bit.
