Attaching Zip or other files to Posts

    Hello
    I am new to WorkPress.com and have a few questions please

    I created a simple post the other day (marked It private) to start learning how to use wordpress.

    I then wanted to attach a file to the post (e.g. .docx or .zip file) but It would not let me. I see it only allows certain file types like media and picture files :(

    It there a way around this? do I have to upgrade from the free version to the premium version?
