Audio in Premium Plan
-
I would like a very quick trial of Premium to see how I’m able to implement audio from an editing standpoint and how it looks and acts visually. Is there a way to get a very brief trial? If I like it, I’ll certainly purchase a one year plan but I don’t want to spend $100 to find out I can’t do what I’m hoping to do with it.

Hi there, unfortunately there are no trial plans available currently. There is however a 30-day refund window in case you find that a plan does not suit your needs. https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/
Here’s all about using Audio on WordPressdotcom: https://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/
Regardless, I’ve tagged this for Staff to note your request.

@dkindetroit you can do as Jen suggested or use any of these other audio options:

Thank you very much. A former employer had used WordPress for their site and I know how it “worked” and “appeared” under their umbrella.
I’d like to attempt my own site but have no idea if it the audio will appear/play remotely like their previous WordPress website which I’m sure was highly customized.
Thanks again for this information.

@dkindetroit if you’ll send a link to their site we might know more. Do know if it was highly customized code, it’s probably an individual WordPress.org installation, but again, the site itself will tell us more about that.
Otherwise, I’d recommend trying the audio options I had listed to see if any of those work for you, even if they aren’t the same solution your old employer had.

@supernovia Unfortunately the radio station I was working for flipped formats and their website now redirect to their “new format meaning all of the work I did is gone.
I did save PDF’s though – click this and DOWNLOAD it (see it in Adobe) rather than viewing it in Dropbox… This is the type of page I was writing…

The PLAY button would then turn into a PAUSE button while the audio played with a countdown clock … I think right under the status bar.

Ah, unfortunately I’d need to look at the source code to figure out how they were doing it.
I can say, though, that play buttons generally will turn into pause buttons, so that shouldn’t be a problem.

Many thanks for your help – I’ll check out the terms and 30-day guarantee/refund stuff with wife this week.
