author invitation problem

I’ve invited a person to be an author, and received the invitation, signed up but never received the confirmation link. On my users list, he is still listed as pending. Is there a solution?

Hi there!
If this new user created an account after clicking on the confirmation link in their email, they’ll need to head back to the email and confirm the invitation again while logged into their new account.

Okay, he got a new account, logged on and clicked the link in the first email. I looked on my user link in dashboard and I see his new user name in place of the email he used. But it still says “waiting” and not todays date, accepted. ??
Also, he did not have Rutgersvectorbio.wordpress.com as a blog he was following, or authoring. Thanks for your help – I think we’re getting closer to getting this right.

Alright. Can you have him open his browser and log into WordPress.com? Then go to his email and click on the confirmation link so that it opens in the browser he had just logged into?
If that doesn’t work, can you tell me which user this is either by username or by email address?
