Author Views
-
Hi,
I’m a little bit concerned because recently I’ve noticed that I’ve had author views of certain pages I haven’t visited and in some cases, many pages I haven’t visited on days I haven’t even visited the site. I am the only author of my blog and I am concerned that either someone is accessing my account or the data is incorrect.
When I log out on my browser, will it log me out on all browsers where I am logged in or only on the one I am currently using? I would like to change my password and log out of all places where I might be logged in so I can be sure no one else is accessing my account.
Thanks.

Hi there,
Author views in stats do not refer to the author viewing the page. The Author views in stats refer to the number of posts written by a particular author that has been viewed by visitors. This stat is less useful on a single-user site, but on sites with multiple authors it’s an indicator of which authors’ posts are the most popular with visitors.
As site admin your views while logged in are not counted at all.
