Auto liking posts

It’s been doing this as long as I can remember, i’ve just been ignoring it thinking it was a feature but apparently it’s not supposed to do this. I’ll get an email about a blog post from a blog I follow, i’ll go check it out and see it’s already been liked for me, before I even had the chance to read it. I don’t know why it does this.

To clarify, this is an issue with a specific site? Or an issue with any site that you are subscribed to and visit from your email? What is the URL of the most recent site you had this issue with?

I believe i’ve had it on multiple sites, but it doesn’t happen every time, it’s not every site. The last time was on this site https://tealveyre.home.blog/ and I can’t find another example at the moment.

Admittedly, this is the first report of this issue that we have seen. So we don’t have specific troubleshooting steps you can try, especially since this will be hard to replicate on this end.
One thought I have is that this may be the result of an issue with your browser, perhaps a broken browser cookie stored on your local web browser. It looks like you are using Google Chrome as your browser, so with this in mind I would like you to try the following
– clear your cache and cookies based on the steps google recommends here: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050
– Also make sure you are not blocking any “3rd party cookies” as explained in that guide as well.
– If you continue to have “auto-liking” issues after completing those steps, I would like you to try another browser instead, like Firefox. Are you able to proceed if you use a browser other than Chrome?Thanks for the additional info!
