Auto renew before domain mapping and registration expire.
-
Dear sir,
Why word press auto renew my domain a month before it’s expiration date? I don’t want to renew my domain name as I no longer use this site. Could it be possible to get refund for domain mapping and registration? because They are not expire yet but your auto renew it for me and charge me $18. The expiration date should be Sep 13, not Aug 13.
Please give me an explanation why should I be charged $18 for sth I don’t want.
Thanks

We auto renew domains 30 days before their expiration date. Why? Since letting a domain expire means you may not be able to get it back in the future, we want to ensure that everything is taken care of in advance. We do send out notification emails before charging your card, as we try not to surprise anyone. This is mentioned in the “my upgrades” support document and when you set up your auto-renewal. But it can also be easy to miss, so I understand the confusion.

I can absolutely help you with that.
Just to clarify, if you want to cancel your domain bct8chiangmai.org it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and it may not choose to do so. We can’t guarantee that your domain will ever be available to you again once canceled. If you have any intention of using bct8chiangmai.org again in the future, I suggest that you do not choose to cancel.
Please confirm that you understand and want to cancel your domain. Once you have done so, I will cancel it and remove the upgrade from your account.
Please let me know if you have further questions or if anything is unclear.
