Auto Renew is disabled, yet I was still charged a renewal fee.

I also never requested or stated to renew my subscription. I’m ok with keeping it renewed until 2015 (maybe now I’ll fiiiiiinally get around to starting this blog), but i don’t want it to automatically renew again next March.

  • You had auto renewal set up for your domain registration of theguyinthepurple.com. You are seeing that upgrade showing as manual renewal right now because the credit card attached to the auto-renewal will expire before the next renewal date (in Feb 2015) . When that happens, we change the upgrade to a manual renewal because we wouldn’t be able to process the charge when it comes around again.

I will be happy to cancel theguyinthepurple.com and refund your payment.

Just to clarify, if you want to cancel your domain theguyinthepurple.com it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and it may not choose to do so. We can’t guarantee that your domain will ever be available to you again once canceled. If you have any intention of using theguyinthepurple.com again in the future, I suggest that you do not choose to cancel.

Please confirm that you understand and want to cancel your domain. Once you have done so, I will cancel it and remove the upgrade from your account.

Please let me know if you have further questions or if anything is unclear.
