Automattic is registrar for WordPress.org site, cannot access domain mgr here

Automattic is listed as domain registrar but I cannot mange my domains through wordpress.com account. We have deleted mrpaconference.wordpress.com, and are using wordpress.org software (and our own host) now, but Automattic is still the domain registrar for mrpaconference.com. When Iog in here at wp.com, I have no options for managing domains. Who is actually my registrar, and how do I get there?

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have separate logins. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click this link http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

Automattic is still the domain registrar for mrpaconference.com
If you’ve registered your domain through WordPress.com and now want it to point to a blog or website hosted elsewhere then you can do this by updating the nameservers.

When I do a WhoIs look up, it says that my domain registrar is Automattic. I know that the .com and .org are completely separate, but we USED to have a site here. I appreciate the links you sent, but I don’t have any of those options when I log into my wp.com account, since we have deleted the blog. The person who set up and managed this before is no longer here. I thought I’d check here since Automattic is affiliated with wp.com.

The upgrade owner – a different user account than yours – should be able log into the dashboard here to manage the domain under Store > Domains:

Good morning! Thanks for your help! Unfortunately, when I try to do an Account Recovery with what I know about the upgrade owner account, I receive this message: “We could not find an account that matches your login. Please check your spelling. Note that we can only provide support for WordPress.com accounts – do not use this page for your own WordPress.org blog.”
I checked that I do not know the registered email or username. The upgrade account was set up two employees ago (possibly more), so I’m at a loss for what I can do.
