autosave

WordPress claims to autosave my posts so that I can recover the most recent version if something happens with the program (a regular occurrence). This does not, in fact, seem to be true, as I cannot find anything less than 22 hours ago, and was working on the page not more than 4 hours ago.

Is there some way to find a post that was supposedly updated?

    Thanks.

  • Hi there,

Your site at https://www.infiniteintimategod.com/ is not hosted with us, so we have no control over it at all, and no way to help you recover lost content as that content has never been on our servers.

Were you using the editor on WordPress.com at My Site ->Blog Posts to write your post? If so, this could either be a browser issue, or a problem with Jetpack not syncing correctly with your server.

Autosave can sometimes fail to trigger due to something stuck in your browser cache. If you clear your browser cache and cookies (after backing up your unsaved content first) that should fix it.

If that doesn’t work it might be a Jetpack issue. In that case you can contact Jetpack support here:
