Back up site

    We have a web site for four years now hosted on GoDaddy. We are now attempting to back things up before updating word press. Before updating Word Press I am attempting to backup the database…and Word Press’s only option is to set up an account and ostensibly create a whole new site. Please help. I need to back up this material. Update Word Press and move on to creating a site map. Thank you.

    Looks like you’re in the wrong forum. Since you’re using the self-hosted version of WordPress you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums:
