Backcharge of $20
-
I have not blogged for 4 years but recently decided to get back into it. I have logged into my website but I can’t seem to do anything to my page. It seems WordPress is asking for a $20 for a chargeback fine. Again, this has to be from 4 years ago and WordPress is not offering anymore information of what exactly happened. I do believe I had the ad free option and paid for it, but I thought I canceled years ago. If WordPress contests that I didn’t cancel, will they attempt to charge me for 4 years of being ad free after I pay the fee? I just want to know what happens if I pay the fee.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m not seeing any history of purchases on the WordPress.com user account that you are posting from. Is this the account you are logged into when you see this message? Could you have had a second WordPress.com user account?
To answer your question: no, even if this situation is accurate, you wouldn’t be charged for the past 4 years. What a chargeback fee means is that someone contested a payment with their bank (rather than contacting us for a refund). When that happens, we are charged a fee by the bank. If a user files a chargeback and then later decides to return to WordPress.com, we ask them to pay that fee in order to reactivate.
