background and headers wont upload?

  hey guys im hoping u can help me iv only just started out so im still learning, i made a collage of pictures using picasa picture editor and im tryin to use it as my background but whn u click upload it doesnt do anything. the top of my browser spins as if it is loading but it never does. is the photo the wrong format or am i just doing something wrong?

  Images
  .jpg
  .jpeg
  .png
  .gif
