  How can I backup my entire site. I have downloaded the XML but cant view it like a website in an external viewer

  Hi there, XML files are not intended to be viewed in a browser. It’s a format that can be read by an importer, should you need to import your content into another site.

  WordPress.com backs up all the sites we host internally, in case of disaster.
