  Hi. Can I also sell a product (a book, for example) using the basic package?

  We have a guide here to the various monitization options we offer on WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/monetize-your-site/

  Please note that most options require an upgrade. As a free site, the only option is to add PayPal “buy now” buttons: https://wordpress.com/support/paypal/

  This will allow you to accept payment from site visitors, but is not a replacement for full ecommerce functionality. i.e. you will need to manually communicate with the buyer to arrange shipping or electronic delivery, and there is no “shopping cart” integrated on your site.
