Hi,
Can you give us a bit more information about what exactly you are trying to do and what happens when you try?
Also, what browser are you using?

I’m using Firefox Version 96.0.3 . Just a little jarring the different views and navs. Maybe with the free version I’m not accessing all of the tools? Here’s as very simple as my issue has been…going in from sign up and watching the basic edit module I could not edit the text of “Hello World!” using any of the available tools. Clicking, double clicking – none of the options allow for editing. In some of clicks I see the edit site and can affect that copy but I’m not sure how I got there. Also don’t understand all of the multiple level nesting in the List View and why, sometimes I see a full List View that includes the full header/footer but other times it’s page level and doesn’t follow the same content structure logic, and then how to toggle among them. Any step by step comprehensive walk thru/hierarchy logic appreciated.

Hi there,
By default your site is set to show a feed of blog posts as the “homepage” and in this case your theme comes with a sample blog post (so the feed is not empty) and the title of this sample post is “Hello World”
You can see it listed here in your blog posts: https://wordpress.com/posts/
If you like you can delete that sample blog post and publish one of your own. When you do it will show up in the blog feed on the homepage automatically.
If you are instead trying to set up a more traditional homepage (which is not a feed of blog posts) let us know and we can show you how that is done. Thanks!
