I am looking for help, I need to find out if this is the right product for me. I am looking to build a digital download site, but the customer will choose 3 sections of a file that they want.
The files will then be merged into 1 and sold to the customer.So:-
X – Files sold to a customer.
(Files First file =A, Second file =B, & Third file =C) – selected by customer.X=A+B+C
Customer buys and downloads file X after choosing A+B+C.
Is this possible for me to set up using a function currently in WordPress?
Do I have to purchase an add on to do this? Which add on? How much does it cost?
Do I need someone to write the code for this? How long will it take? How much will it cost?

If the files can be separate, it should be more a matter of setting up your site and those features rather than making custom code.
If the files must be combined into one, you probably will also need a custom-written plugin that combines the files for you. The cost of custom development will vary on who you hire and the scope of the project. You’ll also want to work with the developer and the host to ensure your solution will be well secured and supported on that host.

Oh! I do want to add: if you’re really only working with three files and their permutations, it would probably be better to just combine them beforehand and present them creatively on the site, rather than making software that combines them on the fly.
