Before I start my blog…

    I’m considering creating a blog to compliment my digital photography work. While I’ve done some HTML we page work, I don’t want to bite off more than I can handle. I have a few questions and would appreciate some constructive feedback.

    1. I think some time should be allowed to create a blog and release it to the general public. Once I create the account will the WordPress system allow me to build it and tweak it before it’s open? How about the name, if I decide to change it from the name I initially set, can that be done before it goes public?
    2. I assume I need to choose a template, the look the blog will have. I also assume that each template comes with certain options. Must these options be selected up front, or can I add them along the way?
    3. Is there anywhere I can preview these templates before creating an account?

    1. Yes and yes, both easy.

    2. Can add along the way.

    (Can also easily switch from one template to another.)

    3. No.
