I do have an existing webwsite http://www.tourdetouraine.com that I’m not able to upgrade (at squarespace.com) : Now, before starting with you and wordpress I would like
1/ to have confirmation that I will be able to upgrade with wordpress (I may send you the global architecture of my website by mail)
2/ to have an advice to choose the most appropriate template
3/ to know if i will be able to run this upgrade with a French version of WordPressThank you
PS I dont want an answer form the community members but from the guys I will pay please (thank you anyway to the community members)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have added modlook to the tag box and staff will hopefully respond in due course (although remember it is still the holidays for many of them). However I doubt you will have much luck sending the global architecture of your site to them by the mail. Whilst you’re waiting for a response you could read about the differences between here and running a self-hosted WordPress.org install.

Hi @tourdetouraine, you’d be welcome to upgrade any site here to one of these plans:
https://wordpress.com/plansI want to be sure that plan meets your expectations, though. Can you let us know what you’re hoping to achieve with the upgrade?
You will be able to make the site French regardless of the plan, though you will want to be sure your theme has full translations. Or, if the theme you choose is missing a few translations, you can contribute your own.
There are several themes we could recommend. You might like https://fortunedemo.wordpress.com/ for example. That (and all premium themes) come free with our business plan.

Hi Supernovia
Thank you for the answer. To reply :
1/ I’m sure your “business plan” will meet my expectations for sure
2/ I’m not willing to make the site French at all cause it is aimed at American clients
3/ When I write “upgrade” it a question of architecture : at Squarespace, all templates do not accept second or sub menus and I DO NEED those second menus (sending a map of my expected website architecture will probably confirm that WordPress is the right tool for me) ; so I rephrase but before starting working on my project with WordPress it would have been nice to have this confrmation from WordPress itself.
4/ For the themes, we will manage the selection with the existing demosthank you again for your help

You can have pages and sub pages with drop down menus if you’d like. No problem there. I do recommend not making your drop-down menus too complicated and lengthy, though, since that can make them harder to use on mobile.
If you’d like to go ahead and get the business plan, you can sign up for one of our webinars at http://wordpress.com/help/courses and we can show you around. You’ll also be welcome to schedule a walk through, and you could send your plans then as we prepare.
