Being able to track using google analytics

  • Unknown's avatar

    I need the following Google Analytics tracking code in my footer file to track my google Adwords campaign. There is too much control on my website and I would like more flexibility. I am a premium user.

    <script>
    (function(i,s,o,g,r,a,m){i[‘GoogleAnalyticsObject’]=r;i[r]=i[r]||function(){
    (i[r].q=i[r].q||[]).push(arguments)},i[r].l=1*new Date();a=s.createElement(o),
    m=s.getElementsByTagName(o)[0];a.async=1;a.src=g;m.parentNode.insertBefore(a,m)
    })(window,document,’script’,’//www.google-analytics.com/analytics.js’,’ga’);

    ga(‘create’, ‘UA-44990747-1’, ‘sacredmysteries.com.au’);
    ga(‘send’, ‘pageview’);

    </script>

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    WordPress.com does not currently support Google Analytics tracking. However we do offer built-in statistics showing you most of the same types of information as Google Analytics would display.

    You can view your site’s stats by clicking the stats link in the grey admin bar at the top of your site. To find out more about how stats are measured and reported, see the following help page.

    You can also install Google Webmaster Tools, which contains some of the same functions as Google Analytics: Webmaster Tools

    Please let me know if you have any questions. :)
