Being charged for WordPress Premium. But all I want is to map a domain
-
My blog is https://dinosaursarechickens.wordpress.com/
I own chickensaredinosaurs.com domain name via an external provider (double checked and no issues that end)
I want to map this domain to the wp blog.
The domain was previously mapped to the wp blog but the subscription ran out.
Now that I try to reknew, it won’t let me do so without charging $99 for wordpress premium (I only need the free account)(It’s also strange as I’m in the UK, yet all the prices onsite are in $. My other wordpress account has none of these issues with domain mapping renewal and gives me prices in £. What’s different?! Do I need to change something on the dinosaursaredchickens blog? Very odd)
many thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
It looks like your domain was registered here, not just mapped, and then transferred away from us in 2015 already.
To map that domain to us now will require a plan, as mapping cannot be bought as a stand-alone upgrade any more, but you can use the Personal Plan to do this as well.
Please go to My Site ->Plans and add the Personal Plan to your site. Then you’ll be able to add the mapping upgrade from My Site ->Domains.
I’ve also updated the currency on your account to GBP, so prices should now be displayed in the correct currency for you.
