  My domain is not loading. I’m looking at my billing history and it’s unclear whether I need to renew domain mapping or WordPress hosting in order to fix. My credit card isn’t expired, so it’s unclear why it didn’t auto-renew either like in years past. How do i fix?

  When a domain expires it then goes through a process that can take several months to complete described at https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/.

  Hi there,

  Is this for the domain, washingtoncompact.com ?

  The domain mapping upgrade for that domain expired on 11 January and was removed from your account on 18 January. We sent several emails to warn you that the upgrade was expiring, and then that it had expired, and it also showed a warning on your site itself in the week between the upgrade’s expiration and the upgrade being removed.

  Our logs show you cancelled auto-renewal on 12 December last year.

  To add the domain mapping back you will need to add a plan to your site from My Site ->Plans, and then you can add a new domain mapping at My Site ->Domains.
