    The plan I’m choosing says it’s free for the first year, but the total still says it’s $96.00? I don’t understand.

    Hi there,

    The WordPress.com Premium Plan Plan does include a free domain for the first year (normally $18 for .com domains) but the plan itself is not free, only the domain you add under your account. We do not offer a free tryout period for the Premium Plan so I can confirm that the charge you see is correct.
