Black screen creeping up my text.

  I use a very simple theme for three weblog pages. Just text and photos. Lately a black block has been creeping up from the bottom of my generally white screen – obscuring the text of posts in the draft section. I need to see the text to check and revise it. Any thoughts, friends?
