Blank space where title was removed from
-
Hi,
I have just recently started my baking business, A Pound of Butter, and have been creating my website myself. I am a complete amateur, as my only experience with website building was creating a free wixsite a few years ago, which was extremely easy to do. I was completely overwhelmed when I started this website about a week ago (and I still kind of am), since I do not know anything about CSS, HTML or any coding of that sort. Every day I work a little bit more on the website, and I have been discovering and learning as I go, but I still have a few unanswered questions that consulting with Dr. Google has not resolved. This is one of them:
For my homepage, I do not want it to show ‘Home’ as the title and instead want the first thing you see below the header to be a full width picture (which is currently still a placeholder image and will be changed later). After searching on google how to remove the title, I activated the Title Remover plugin and toggled it to not show the title on that page. This worked fine; however, now I am left with a giant space in my header where the title would normally be, which just looks really bad. Can you please help me get rid of this space?
I’ve tried googling it, and even took a swing at typing in custom CSS code from a previous answer to a similar question I read in these forums, but that didn’t change anything and I did not understand at all how it works, so I wouldn’t even know how to approach troubleshooting it.
If possible, is there a way to get rid of this space without using CSS? I am currently using the free version of the Beaver Builder plugin to build my pages since it is a pretty straightforward block system, and it would be great if there’s a way to do it in there, but I highly doubt that since I can’t even touch the header in that editor.
Otherwise, if there is no way to remove this blank space without using CSS code, could you please walk me through the CSS as if you were explaining it to a 5 year old? I am really new at this so please do it as simply as possible: even walk me through how to get to the place to type in the CSS, because I know literally nothing!
Here’s the link to my website in case it doesn’t appear publicly: https://www.albofbutter.com
I created it through Bluehost, but I hope that isn’t an issue and that you can just answer my question here. Thanks!Site: https://www.albofbutter.com.

Hi there,
Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) and is hosted by Bluehost.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are different, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on WordPress.com.
You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
You can reach out to your host for help with your site. Since they’re hosting your site’s files, they also have access to those files and could also be able to help you here.
The WordPress.org forums are also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software, and you can find support for that at: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting
