blocked blog name
-
hi!
i tried changing my blog name to stilkollektivet, but accidentally only changed my user name to it, so i changed back to my old user name. But now when I try to change the blog name again to stilkollektivet, it is reserved (i guess it is because i just recently tried to change to it), but i do really want it.
Is there any way you can unblock it so i can change my blog (pussysquad.wordpress.com) to stilkollektivet.wordpress.com???Please help, it is kind of an emergency!
Thank you in advance!
Teanna Falkman
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Once you change a username you cannot revert back. It’s a permanent and irreversible act. https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/

@ timethief,
Howdy. Your advise above is accurate. However, if I’ve understood the issues involved correctly, there may be a relatively easy resolution, or partial resolution. See below.

Hi,
Is there any way you can unblock it so i can change my blog (pussysquad.wordpress.com) to stilkollektivet.wordpress.com???
You won’t be able to change https://pussysquad.wordpress.com/ to anything, since it has been deleted.
i tried changing my blog name to stilkollektivet, but accidentally only changed my user name to it, so i changed back to my old user name.
Actually, you can not change your username and then revert to a previous username. WordPress.com doesn’t allow it. So that isn’t what you’ve done. Rather, what you’ve evidently done is created a second account with the username stilkollektivet (see the forum profile: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/stilkollektivet). If you want the website stilkollektivet.wordpress.com to be created in the stilkollektivet account, merely log into the account and create the site. If, however, you want that website to appear in your teannafalkman account, then proceed as follows:
1. Log out of the teannafalkman account, and log into the stilkollektivet account.
2. Create the website https://stilkollektivet.wordpress.com.
3. Transfer the site to the teannafalkman account. See the Transferring a Site to Another WordPress.com Account support page for instructions.

You’re welcome. But I just noticed a flaw in my reasoning. How did the username stilkollektivet get created (4 hours ago) without the website stilkollektivet.wordpress.com being created? Does WP still have the account sans-blog option? The only article on this I’ve seen is dated 2006: https://en.blog.wordpress.com/2006/05/18/sans-blog/.

That still stands. Blogs with URLs that match username accounts are reserved for future registration by the person with the matching username account only. And, one cannot delete a blog that was not registered.
-
Let me state that again please. When we register a username account the matching blog is reserved for our future use. It cannot be obtained by anyone other than the person who has registered the matching username account.
If and only if you have registered the matching username account, you can log out, clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies. Then you will be able to log in under the correct username account, and as the blog is reserved for you, you will be able to register it.
https://signup.wordpress.com/signup/?user=1However, if you changed your username then the blog URL will not be available for use under the new username account.

There is also this profile: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/pussysquad, indicating that the username pussysquad was created five hours ago, as was stilkollektivet. If the username pussysquad was changed to stilkollektivet, this would explain the absence of the website https://stilkollektivet.wordpress.com in that account.
