Blocking access

    I have recently split up with my partner. I wish to block her access to my site without removing her as an administrator (which then attributes all her past posts to me, which seems unfair). How do I do this safely?

    Hi there,

    An administrator has full access to a site. That is what that user role means. Saying you want someone to not have access but stay an admin is like saying you want to jump in the pool but not get wet. It cannot be done.

    The account you’re using to post here was created only a few hours ago and does not own any sites, so I’m going to guess you’re speaking of a site running the open source WordPress software at another host.

    Please post in the forums for that software for help removing this admin without attributing their posts to you:
