Blocking users from my site

    Hi is there a way to block users from visiting my public site ? One user in particular is continuously following my site , I keep removing them but I only accept followers that I know personally. Thank you

    Hi there,

    If your site is public, anyone with access to the internet can visit it, and follow it. Even if you were able to block a specific WordPress.com username account from following the site, it would not prevent that person from simply creating a different account to follow you, following via email only instead of via a WordPress.com account, or even following your site’s RSS feed in a third party RSS reader where you won’t even know that they’re following you.

    If you only want people you know personally to be able to follow your site, you can set your site to private, and then invite only the people you want to have access as viewers.
