  It has come to my attention that there are ads posted in my blogs that I am unaware of, and not receiving compensation for.

  You are receiving compensation for them – that is how WordPress.COM gives you a “free” blog – you did agree to them in the Terms of Service when you signed up – WordPress.COM has been running ads on blogs for several years to help pay the bills – you can buy the No Ads Upgrade if you don’t want the ads
