blog confusion
-
I opened a wordpress account a couple years ago and never really did anything with it. I took a course this year through Algonquin College that had me create blogs as assignments on their site. I had to provide my address and since I had a wordpress account associated with my email address, it forced me to use the account. So when I log in, it appeared that I had 3 different accounts. I have since changed settings and published my own personal blog. I want to leave the Algonquin site as it seems there is cross over and confusion (on WordPress’ part) between my personal site and the college site. All help articles tell me to hover over the url and click on the button to leave the group. If I could find where this would be, honestly, I would feel like I won a lotter. I keep going around in circles and cannot find this magical leave group button. I would like to delete any link to Algonquin College site. HELP.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Note: If you want to leave a .wordpress.COM hosted blog that you did not register under your username account but have been made an official user of by way of invitation you can use the leave a blog option. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#leave-a-blog
You must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered any site to be able to delete it.
You can update your email address here https://wordpress.com/me
There is a single email address that can be used on only one wordpress.COM username account and not on any others, regardless of how many blogs are registered under that username account.
The wordpress.COM blog’s owner can change the relevant email address on their accounts page at https://wordpress.com/me/account at any time. A confirmation email will be sent to that address.
For Issues Changing your Email Address see https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/#issues-changing-your-email-address

re: deleting WordPress.COM hosted sites
All sites are independent. What you do on one or to one has no impact on any other site. To delete a WordPress.COM hosted site you must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to navigate to Dashboard > Tools > Delete Site. The guide is here http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/ note the alternatives provided there.
Prior to deletion warnings are issued. Deleted wordpress.COM blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and the only exceptions are made are for URLs that were deleted 2 or more years ago. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
https://wordpress.com/settings/delete-site/NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com
*Replace “NAME_OF_BLOG” with the actual name of the blog in the URL above.
If you are not logged in under the correct WordPress.COM username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies prior to logging into another account
You can update your email address here https://wordpress.com/me at any time.
If you did not register the site under your username account and do not have the required access, then you need to contact the person who registered the account and site under it, and have them act or transfer the site to your username account by using this process. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account
