Blog Disappeared

  Hi – I had a blog – dsmartins.com for a few years – I have not been blogging for a while, but I tried to get to it recently and it simply has evaporated.
  Can you please explain to me what is happening.

  I am not having any trouble viewing dsmartins.com. Were you able to sort this out?

  This is all wrong. I had dsmrtins.com. It was the way to get to my Blog (https://visualpractice.wordpress.com). A few days ago I tried to look for dsmariens.com (the normal way to get to my blog), but I got an error message. So I thought that possibly, I needed to pay for the domain to point back to the blog. Now it points to my portfolio, which I have not linked the domain to.

  I really need help on this.

  Okay, I can help you fix that.

  However, the issue is that the WordPress.com user account that you are posting from is not the owner or admin of https://visualpractice.wordpress.com.

  So you must have ended up with a second WordPress.com account at some point. Please log into that account and then post here to this thread confirming that you would like dsmariens.com to point to visualpractice.wordpress.com.

  Thanks for that. I am starting to realise that I have two wordpress accounts. Not sure how to find the Blog one. The portfolio one is the only one that seems to be found.

  If I understand you correctly – do I need to go into the visualpractice.wordpress.com and the access this thread from there? How does one do that? I cannot even find this thread inside the ‘portfolio’ account. I am getting to this thread via my email.

  Sorry, I am not very literate with wordpress and it’s mysterious workings and structures.

  You need to log out of your ruidsmartins WordPress.com users account and log in with the account that owns visualpractice.wordpress.com.

  That is because the ruidsmartins WordPress.com user account is not an owner or admin on visualpractice.wordpress.com. So you cannot access the admin area.

  You might try entering old or unused email addresses in the lost password tool:

  http://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
