Blog disappearing

  I recently started a blog and published some info, but today I signed into my account and it all disappeared. How can I retrieve it? I know WordPress was highly recommended to me, however I will be very disappointed if this is a sign of how you operate. Please advise me in any steps I need to take to remedy this problem. Thank you.

  The first step is to understand that we cannot help any blogger who does not post the URL starting with http:// of the exact blog they are referring to. Please do that now.

  Do you own that URL?
  If so which domain registrar did you purchase it from?
  Did you attempt to purchase that URL through a WordPress.com?
  Are you attempting to make a domain mapping purchase?

  Any details you choose to provide would be good to have as not having anything to go on is not helpful and won’t lead to a speedy resolution to your issue.

  WordPress was highly recommended to me, however I will be very disappointed if this is a sign of how you operate.

  To be crystal clear about this is how we operate. We provide support here only to those who have free hosted WordPress.COM blogs. We do not provide support for any sites that WordPress.COM does not host and so far you have not provided a URL to a blog that WordPress.COM is hosting. Have you read this comparison?

  Ok thank you for informing me how it works since I am new to this. I realize that the issue may be with Bluehost since that is where I purchased my domain from. I figured that I log into WordPress to do all my work on my blog and therefore they could help me, but I think Bluehost would be better at settling this problem. Hopefully they can provide me with some answers. Thank you.

  That is not a free hosted WordPress.COM blog. It is hosted by Blue Host and we do not provide support for it here at all. You are posting to the wrong support forums. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have separate logins. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click this link http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
