blog does not display cleanly

    hello!

I have built a blog (zoverlander.wordpress.com) and link to it from my ‘main hub’ website (zoverlander.com).

I want to the blog posts to be viewable as snippets (so that multiple entries are visible and can be individually selected) when a visitor for reaches the blog (by either going directly to zoverlander.wordpress.com or being redirected from from zoverlander.com) similar to the way it looks for me in some of the development windows. The the way that it works now, when I visit my blog externally – all of the posts are just stacked on top of each other and their entirety must be scrolled through before seeing the next entry….and this is not ideal.

I have tried many different settings and been through all the menus (I think) but can’t seem to figure out how to make this ‘update’ myself.

    Please advise,

    Thanks!
    Z

  • Hi @zoverlander, you could fix this a few ways:

    – Use “read more” tags in your posts to separate content. The editor has a read more button — it’s that icon on the right that looks a bit like a sandwich. Caveat is that you’d have to edit each post.

    OR

    – Use a theme that can show excerpts on the posts page. We have several here:

The caveat there, of course, is that you’d need to switch themes. But if you like the simple look you’ve got going, perhaps you’d like this one:

    I hope that helps!
