Blog images not showing

I recently added posts using images uploaded from my computer, and they are not showing on the blog page. If you click on them you can see them, and if I look at ‘recent posts’ I can see them, but the blog page just shows grey photo icons. I tried inserting a previously-used image which shows in a much earlier post, and it doesn’t show either. I’ve looked at many troubleshooting posts, but I can’t figure it out. Please help!

You are using the Apostrophe theme and the instructions say:-
“To create the image grid layout for your blog’s index page, you’ll need to upload a Featured Image for each post. If you don’t upload a Featured Image, Apostrophe will display an icon corresponding to the post’s Post Format instead”

Hi,
I have been trying to add featured images but it is not showing.
I was thinking that it might be a problem with the size requirements, but even with the image from the live demo it is still not working.
How to make this work?
