Blog layout

I just use this site for fun for now but im wondering about writing more often. Although I can scroll through my posts easily I am told by my friends that all they see when they get a notification by email all they can see is the most recent post. If they want to read any others they have to scroll through all old posts one after another rather than choosing at a glance what they want to read about. Is there a way I can set it up so they can see it easily please? Do i have to choose a different theme for it? Kind regards. Louise

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

Do you mean when your friends click the link in the email for the latest post?

It sounds like they’re using the Next Post/Previous Post links that appear at the bottom of each post on your site to navigate. If they instead click where it says “Blog” in your site menu it will take them to https://lulamagenta.wordpress.com/blog/ which lists all posts on your site below one another already.

I see you also already have the archives widget in your site footer. That allows people to see a list of posts published in a specific month. Then you can also add a categories widget if you want which will list posts by topic according to the category you assign it instead:

Or if you want a complete index of all posts on your site, create a new page and add the Archive shortcode to that page. That page will then list all posts by title, and will automatically update each time you publish a new post.
