Blog List Option and Reading setting

  • Unknown's avatar

I am trying to get only my last 6-10 post to show up per page. I am having major load time issues and am hoping this will fix it. When I go to pages the setting options under ‘blog list options’ do not appear. My posts don’t seem to be posting to an actual page so I can’t find where they are posting work on the settings. megforit.com is my blog and when you go to the site it has the posts load as the ‘front page’. Thats what I want but as I mentioned I only want to display/load the last 10 posts initially to improve load time.

When I go settings-reading-and change that to the last 10 posts it does not change the appearance.

Thank you for any help and direction!
    Sincerely,
    Meg

megforit.com is hosted by GoDaddy and these are the WordPress.com forums. Staff here don’t have access to your self-hosted site. You need to visit the .org forum:-

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

PS: Yes, your site is painfully slow to load. “Settings” “Reading” is certainly where you can set how many posts are visible on your front page here at WordPress.com (after disabling infinite scroll) but as I haven’t had a WordPress.org site for years I can’t be sure that .org works exactly the same.

Thank you for your response. Any way to switch to wordpress.com? I have not had much support from go daddy.
