  hello fellow bloggers. I’m just wondering if its possible to monetize my blog even if I’m only using a free WordPress account. And is there a way for me to modify the php codes?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes and no, to answer your questions in order.

  You can apply to join the WordAds program. There is currently a backlog of several thousand applications, and if you get in, you split the money 50/50 with WordPress. Those are the only ads permitted.

  If you actually do something people will pay you for, like teach, write, create art, etc, you can use your blog as a portfolio to raise your profile and get gigs that way.
