  I am trying to start a new site but wordpress is not letting me start a ‘.wordpress.com’ blog anymore? The only options I have are ‘.home’ or ‘.me’ things like that which is not what I want… does anyone know why?

  Hi there,

  You should also be seeing the option for a free .blog subdomain, if you’re not seeing a free WordPress.com address. We’ve made a range of free .blog addresses available as well in addition to free WordPress.com addresses, and depending on what options you select during the first signup steps, you can be suggested one of those instead. They work exactly the same as a free WordPress.com address.

  If you prefer to have a *.wordpress.com address, make sure to not select Blog as the type of site on the first step of the signup process.
