Blog Name Double-Up

  I went to register a blog name, but found it is already in use. I hadn’t found anything using the name when I decided on it, but I tracked down the current blog with the name and found it is one that hasn’t been used in five years. Does that mean I absolutely can’t use the name or is there a period to wait until the name will be available?

  A blog can remain inactive indefinitely. If comments are enabled, you may leave a message on the website, asking the administrator if she or he might consider transferring the address to your account.
