Blog post content deleted

Hi I have been using my blog as part of a module I am taking at uni.

I posted my final blog post a few days ago, then last night I changed the category and published it again. I checked it had posted and saw it on my blog.

This morning I checked it and the actual written part had gone and all that was left was the title! I really need this post back as I have spent weeks writing it and it is due in!

How can I get it back? I know for a fact I haven’t deleted it!

    Thank you

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

In the “My Sites” dashboard if you navigate to the post in question in the post editor and click on “Published” on the left that should show “Revisions” if any earlier versions of the post were saved.

You can do the same thing in the wp-admin dashboard. Clicking on the post title and scrolling down you should see if any revisions have been saved:-

What do I do if there is no revisions? There’s literally no record of it at all!

You say you spent weeks writing your final post? In that case it ought to have been saved multiple times. Even if you delete a post it stays in the trash until you really delete it. The fact that you just have a title are you sure the missing post isn’t lurking amongst your drafts under a different title?. How exactly did you “change the category” and from what to what? If it’s really just disappeared then I’m afraid that’s another hard lesson about “living and working on the web” :)
